…and some sorting cups to put them in!
Lil man has got to the stage where he needs more than just a couple of toys and he’ll be happy! He needs stimulation otherwise “Captain Destruction” comes a knocking!!
He has a shape sorter, he also has many coloured bricks so I thought of a colour sorter!
However, rather than just sorting the coloured bricks into piles, how about a corresponding coloured container!
I know he is young yet to do it himself but can’t hurt to play, even if its just putting in bricks and taking them out again! He’ll love it either way!
The cups already have his seal of approval! He couldn’t wait for Mummy to finish her photographs!
They are just a simple single crochet (double crochet -UK) bowl/cup.
I used 2 strands of 4 Seasons – stallion 8 ply (love this yarn, soft, workable and bright colours!) – and a 5mm crochet hook.
The base came out as 8.5cm diameter and height of the side as 4.5cm. This can be whatever you want it to be by changing yarn, hook and of course adding/taking away stitches at the base and rows on the sides.
They were very quick to make, a great stash buster and bright and playful to look at!
Happy Crafting! 💟
